What drew you to wealth management?

I had worked on the investment side for the bulk of my career, including institutional funds as large as $9 Billion, but I never knew any of our clients. I realized I found it much more satisfying to advise people, learn about their concerns and help them accomplish their goals.

What do you enjoy most about Adero?

It’s fun being part of a growing organization that shares my values about putting client needs first.

What do you feel is the biggest value Adero brings to its clients?

Adero’s team has deep tax, planning and investment expertise. Combined with a high level of service, Adero represents everything your personal CFO should provide.

Which quality makes you best suited to provide wealth management services?

I have all the qualifications including over 25 years of experience and both a CFA® charterholder and CFP®. But what is most important is my ability to listen to clients first, and only then offering solutions to help reach their goals.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Passing all three levels of the CFA® in 3 straight years and completing the CFP® in 2 months.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I enjoy golfing and exercising. I also am a huge UVA fan and have organized some events for the SF alumni club.

What's the most influential book you've read and why?

Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s Fooled by Randomness. It has allowed me to see hidden unnecessary risks and avoid them.
